Around 1500, the tapestries of The Lady and the Unicorn, an allegory of the senses, offer a symbolic journey ending with the enigmatic My Only Desire. Echoing these six tapestries, this programme showcases the Lady's five senses through songs, dances and instrumental pieces from the early Renaissance, exploring the range of sensations and pleasures (and displeasures!) of the human condition... until the final panel, where earthly experience seems to dissolve in favour of an inner universe of a completely different nature.

Works by French composers active in Paris around 1500: Antoine de Févin, Jean Mouton, Josquin des Prez, etc.; anonymous songs from the manuscript known as "de Copenhague" and the monodic manuscripts known as "de Bayeux"; anonymous French and Italian dances from the early Renaissance.
